What Does Psalm 125:2 Mean?

As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.

Psalm 125:2(KJV)

Verse of the Day

There is no more sure protection than to be a child of God; born of the Spirit, and placed in Christ. God has promised to be with us always, even unto the end of the world.

He is above us in heavenly places, interceding for us and acting as our advisory before the Father. He is pleading our cause and protecting us against the accusations of Satan. He is also beneath us, lifting us up and holding us steady, for underneath are His everlasting arms of love. He goes before us, to guide our path and to guard us from the assaults of the enemy, and we hear His voice behind us, saying: "This is the way, walk in it." And He is within us, indwelling us permanently. He has taken up residence within our frame and has made us the temple of the living God as, day be day, we are being conformed into the image and likeness of the Lord Jesus Christ, until it is no longer I that live but Christ that lives in me.

The Lord our God is with us and in us and above and beneath us. He is before and behind us and He is all around us, for we are His chosen people; a royal priesthood, a chosen generation who were foreknown of God before the foundation of the world. By His grace, we have been predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son.

Christ was the firstborn among many brothers and sisters and by faith in Him we have the indwelling Spirit of God indwelling our bodies. He is in us and working through us. He leads and He guides. He goes before us, is with us, works through us, and in the same way that the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about His people, from henceforth, even for evermore.

My Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your grace toward me. Thank You for always being there for me and for all those that love and trust Your Son, our Saviour Jesus Christ. Thank You that You are with me, in and around me, in every situation of life. Praise Your holy name for Your faithfulness to all Your children. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.
