Verse of the Day

As members of the fallen human race, there are certain things that we all need to know. We need to KNOW that the Lord Himself is the One and Only Sovereign God and Supreme Ruler of all.

We should KNOW that He is the great Creator of the universe and everyone in it, and that He is the One Who formed and fashioned us in the beginning. It was God who created us and not we ourselves! And for those of us who have trusted Christ as Saviour, should also KNOW that we are both His people and the sheep of His pasture. As His blood-bought children, we are to reckon ourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

There are certain scriptural truths that should be so much a part of our inner being that we have not the slightest doubt or uncertainty of their veracity: 1) God's sovereign rule. 2) His goodness and grace to all. 3) The duty of all people and nations to exalt His holy name. 4) For those who are saved by grace through faith in Christ, to develop an ever-deepening knowledge of the Person and Work of the Lord Jesus.

The song of nations should be one that resounds with praise and thanksgiving to the Triune God from Whom all blessings flow. It is through the love and grace of our Heavenly Father that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. Everyone has the opportunity to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sin and life everlasting. All people are exhorted to KNOW the Lord and be saved by grace through faith in Him, and freed entirely from condemnation.

In Christ is all the fullness of God, and as His people we should KNOW that we are being built up into a heavenly Temple so that in the ages to come, the surpassing riches of His grace in His kindness toward us (the Church) will be made known to the angelic rulers and authorities in the heavenly places!

There are certain, basic things should be KNOWN by all. Every sinner and every saint should KNOW that the LORD Himself is God and that it is He Who has created us, and not we ourselves. Those of us who are saved should KNOW that we are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

He is the Mighty Sovereign Ruler of the universe and great Creator of all Who is enthroned above the Cherubim, and yet He is our good and gracious Shepherd Who leads us beside still waters, restores our soul, guides us into the way of righteousness, and is our ever-present help as we travel through the valley of the shadow of death.

He is the One Who died and rose again so that by faith in Him we might live in newness of life, and the duty and responsibility of ALL is to KNOW God and to KNOW Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son, to glorify Him forever, and to tell forth the glories of His holy name, to all.

My Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You that You have made Yourself known through the holy Scriptures, the indwelling Holy Spirit, and the Person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ, my God and my Saviour. I pray that the truths that I have read in Your Holy Word may be implanted so deeply within my soul, that nothing will shake me from the truth of Your Word. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
