What Does Isaiah 52:13 Mean?

Behold, My servant will prosper, He will be high and lifted up and greatly exalted.

Isaiah 52:13(NASB)

Verse of the Day

Tracing the history of God's people from their world-wide dispersion due to their unfaithfulness to God, we arrive at a beautiful passage that begins to peep behind the scene onto the perfect plan of the Father, as He unveils their Messiah - the Lord Jesus Christ - the sin-bearing sacrifice for Israel and humble Saviour of the whole world.

The day is fast approaching when the One Who was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities, and lifted up on Calvary's cruel Cross, will be highly exulted, greatly honoured, and His glory will fill the whole earth.

The time is coming when Israel as a nation will kneel before Him in unanimous repentance and national grief, when "they look upon Him Whom they have pierced," and God Almighty will proclaim, "Behold, My servant. This is My beloved Son in Whom I am well pleased."

Jesus Christ is not only Saviour of the world but He is King of Israel and Lord of lords, for He was raised from the dead as proof of His pre-eminence among the children of men.

"Surely He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted," but the day is coming when these words will finally and fully reach their fulfilment.

BEHOLD! My Servant. Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD.

My Prayer

Heavenly Father, how I bless Your holy name for all Your goodness and graciousness toward all Your children. Thank You that Jesus became the sin-sacrifice and died for me, and not for me only, but for all who trust in His holy name. Thank You that He was raised from the dead as proof of His pre-eminence among men, and highly exulted to the throne of God. Thank You that He is coming back soon as King of Israel, Prince of peace, and Judge of the whole world. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.
