since indeed God who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith is one.
Romans 3:30(NASB)
There is one Lord Who is God of all creation, and the offer of salvation, which He provides by faith in the sacrificial death and glorious resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, is equally available to all people, Jew and Gentile, black and white, free or in bondage, male and female, young and old... for all have sinned and all fall far short of the glory of God and the godly perfection He requires.
When man fell, God set in motion the plan of redemption which He had purposed in His eternal council chambers from before the foundation of the world. Because of sin, man was at enmity with God. Having eaten of the tree of knowledge, man knew good from evil but was incapable of doing the good and refusing to do the evil. The only way for sin to be forgiven and the sentence of death to be removed, was through the sacrificial death of a perfect Kinsman-Redeemer. Only a sinless Man was qualified to offer His life to pay the price for sin, but there was no man who was good - no not even one.
Man's inherent sin nature, which was due to sin, dictated that no man could ever be good enough to become the perfect sacrifice that God demanded for payment of sin.. and so in His grace, God Himself chose to be born into the human race so that His death would be sufficient to pay the price for the sin of the world.
By grace, He chose the little nation of Israel to become His ambassadors on earth, through whom the perfect Son of God would be born to a fallen woman. He would be the incarnate God Who would be born into the human race. It was the incarnate God, in nature and character, Who would be sent as the sacrifice for humanities sin, but He would also be a perfect Man in human flesh - yet without sin.
Due to man's rebellion and sin, the whole world was lying in the grasp of the evil one. All humanity was fatally influenced and infected by the satanic forces that caused Adam to sin. But God purposed to circumnavigate the wicked schemes of the evil one. His plan was to make Israel a peculiar people who followed Him and not the false deceptive lies of Satan.
God's purpose was to use Israel to defeat the wiles of the devil, and so He rescued them from Egypt and made a covenant with them that if they would obey His law, then He would be their God, and they would be His people. He would bless them with untold blessings if they obeyed - but if they did not follow His laws, He would have to punish them and use a people who would bring forth the fruit of righteousness.. and share the good news of the gospel of God.
His nation was to proclaim the good news of salvation to the whole world... and so God caused holy men of God to record His plan of redemption in the holy Scriptures. The Gentiles were to be told of the glorious gospel of the coming King of Israel Who would save them from their sin by faith. He would be the Son of the most high God, the promised Seed of the woman, and the prophesied Jewish Messiah Who would rule the world in justice and peace.
But the privileged nation of Israel abused their God-given status, became proud of their holy position, and selfishly refused to share the good news to a lost and dying world. They kept the exciting news of redemption to themselves and refused to be a light to the Gentile nations. They grudgingly permitted a few Gentiles to join Judaism as proselytes, but spewed out contempt and hatred for those that were lost and dying - whom they considered as Gentile dogs.
The multiplied false god's of the Gentiles nations were introduced by Satan to deceive them from finding the truth, while the Jews jealously guarded the good news of redemption and disobeyed God's command to tell forth the glory of His name. Indeed, the refusal of God's chosen people to spread the good news of God's redemptive plan was in direct opposition to God's plans and purposes - for it is not God's will that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
And so God set aside His people, Israel, for a season, and appointed the Christian Church, the one new man in Christ, to be His ministers of reconciliation to the lost and dying world. Saved Jews together with believing Gentiles would become one united Body who would tell forth the good news of the glorious gospel of God's grace, during this present Church dispensation.
And here in Romans, we discover Paul hammering home the vital truth that God is Lord of ALL. He is God of the Jews and God of the Gentiles... for there is one God who will justify Jews by faith and the same God will justify Gentiles by faith. There is one God who will justify the circumcised by faith and He will also justify the uncircumcised by faith.
The good news of the gospel of grace is that salvation for the Gentile is no different from salvation for the Jew... for righteousness is credited because of faith. And there is One Lord Who saves Jew and Gentile alike - the Lord of all Who is good to all who hope in His name.
God is no respecter of persons and those who believe on the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, have His assurance that they are saved - by God's grace, through faith in Christ.
Heavenly Father, I come to You in humble gratitude and thanks that You have opened the door of salvation by grace, to all who believe on Christ for the forgiveness of their sins. Thank You that You did not reward me according to my sins but have clothed me in Christ's righteousness by faith. Thank You that You are the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, Who does not show partiality nor take a bribe, and thank You that there is no distinction between Gentile and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, and freeman, but Christ is all and in all. Thank You in Jesus' name, AMEN.
