Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned--
Romans 5:12(NASB)
The condemnation we have in Adam is starkly contrasted with the justification we receive from Christ. The disobedience of Adam's rebellion, which resulted in man's misery, has death as its final outcome. However, forgiveness of sins and eternal life is the result of Christ's obedience on the Cross; and this is the glorious conclusion for all who will trust on His name.
As the federal head of the old creation in Adam, the entire human race has been tainted with sin. We were born with an old sin nature and we sin because we are sinners. Sin entered into the world affecting every member of the human race, and death came into the world and spread to all humanity, as a result of the sin of that one man, Adam.
But praise God that there is a great difference between Adam's sin and God's gracious gift in Christ. For the sin of this one disobedient man, Adam, brought death to many.
But God's wonderful grace and His gift of forgiveness is so much better, for whosoever will may be forgiven of their sins, through one perfect Man, the Lord Jesus Christ.
This glorious truth needs to be shared with as many as possible, and Peter tells us of the Lord's desire: "Not willing for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance." Let us tell as many as we meet, that although: "Through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all mankind, because all sinned," all mankind has been redeemed through the precious blood of one Man. And all who believe in Him and accept His free gift of grace will be saved.
Hallelujah, What a Saviour!
Heavenly Father, thank You that in Christ, I have been forgiven of all my sins, justified, and made a new creation. Thank You that by grace through faith in Him, I have been transferred from the kingdom of death and darkness into Christ’s kingdom of life and light, hope and peace. My heart rejoices and I praise Your holy name, for You alone are worthy. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
