What Does Jeremiah 23:6 Mean?

In his time Judah will be delivered and Israel will dwell in safety. This is the name by which he will be known: "The LORD Our Righteousness.'

Jeremiah 23:6(ISV)

Verse of the Day

There is only ONE that is good, and that is God. And those that are saved by the blood of the Lamb, are imputed with His righteousness. For we are covered in Christ, our true and living God, for He alone is: "The LORD Our Righteousness."

Christians have been made the righteousness of God in Christ by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation, and during the Church age there is a remnant of Israel that are being saved as part of that Body of Christ. But a day of deliverance is coming that will eclipse their great deliverance from Egypt.

This is in the day when the kingdom of Christ shall be set up for a thousand years. And on that day, both those from the northern kingdom of Israel and the southern kingdom of Judah, will be united as one nation under God to trust in their great Messiah-King: "The LORD our righteousness," Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews.

Today, Israel is back in the land, but multiple threats to wipe them off the face of the earth oppress them on every side. But a day is coming when they will dwell in their land in true peace and safety. A day when the true Shepherd of Israel will rescue the lost sheep of the house of Israel, as He promised.

This is the day when the true Prince of peace will bring 'Shalom' into their hearts forever. A day when the true Light of the world will shine into the hearts of His people Israel, as the 'blindness-in-part' is lifted from their eyes. A day when the nation as a whole repents of their sins, and cries out: "Blessed is He Who comes in the name of the Lord."

A day is coming when all Israel shall be saved; a day when Christ will set up His Millennial Kingdom on earth; a day when: "Judah will be delivered, and Israel will dwell in safety, and this is the name by which He will be known: The LORD Our Righteousness."

Even so, come Lord Jesus.

My Prayer

Loving Father, I praise You for my great salvation in Christ Jesus Who is called "The Lord, our Righteousness." Thank You that Your promises to me individually, to the Church, and to the nation of Israel, never fail. Protect Your people, Israel, and bring them to the knowledge of Jesus Christ, their true Messiah Who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
