What Does Jeremiah 10:10 Mean?

But the LORD is the true God; He is the living God and the everlasting King At His wrath the earth quakes, And the nations cannot endure His indignation.

Jeremiah 10:10(NASB)

Verse of the Day

The sovereignty of God cannot be compared with anything that is in the heavens above or in the earth beneath or in the waters under the earth, for God alone is the uncreated, eternal, sovereign God of the universe.

He is the true and living God Whose glory fills the skies. The increase of His government will continue forever and there will be no end to His perfect peace, which passes all understanding. His is the peace that is poured into the hearts of all that have trusted in the only begotten Son of God.

He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity, and He will establish His kingdom and uphold it with His pure justice and His perfect righteousness. He will rule and reign from this time forward and forevermore, for He is the wonderful Councillor, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace, and by Him, and through Him, and for Him were all things made, and without Him was not anything made that was made - and His name is Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins.

Today this sovereign God is high and lifted up and sits upon His throne in glory while the nations rage and plot their evil plans against the LORD and against His anointed Son. But one day soon He will rise up to destroy the evil plans of the world and will come forth to defend the widow, the helpless, and those that are oppressed. He will break them with a rod of iron and will dash them to pieces like pottery, for the LORD is the only true God.

He is the living God and the everlasting King. The whole earth trembles at his anger. The nations cannot stand up to his wrath. But to those that trust is His name, He has become our Father, and we have become His children. And because we are His sons, God sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, calling out, "Abba, Father."

My Prayer

Loving Heavenly Father, I worship and praise You, for You alone are worthy of praise. You alone are the living God of truth and love, righteousness and justice. You are in control of the whole earth, despite the evil ploys of wicked men, and one day You will right all wrongs. Thank You that Your desire is to save all those that trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.
