What Does Galatians 3:11 Mean?

Now that no one is justified by the Law before God is evident; for, "THE RIGHTEOUS MAN SHALL LIVE BY FAITH."

Galatians 3:11(NASB)

Verse of the Day

There is only one way to be saved. We are justified, sanctified, and glorified in the sight of God one way - by grace through faith in Christ alone. No one can ever be justified in the sight of God through works of the Law, and yet many having started their Christian life by grace through faith and then seek to continue their Christian walk by reverting back to legalism, trying to live by the law instead of living by grace alone, through faith alone in Christ alone.

At our salvation, we were imputed with Christ's righteousness and received the indwelling life of Christ (the new life in Christ). This was so that we could live FOR Him and TO Him each day by grace through faith: "For the just shall live by faith."

It is because of our faith in Him, that we have been clothed with the righteousness of Christ. Because of our righteous standing in Him, we have been made His children and are called to LIVE by faith.

We started our Christian life by faith, and we are to continue our Christian walk by faith. Faith is simply trusting God's Word and living a life that is fully dependent upon Him for everything.

Let us meditate today upon this simple, yet life-changing truth. Let us exercise our faith, from this day forward, trusting each part of our lives to Him. For our God loves us with an everlasting love, our God is able, and our God will never leave us or forsake us. Praise His wonderful name.

My Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for showing me that I needed a Saviour. Thank You for opening up my proud heart to the understanding that there is nobody who is good, not even one, other than Christ Who died and rose again so that I might be justified by grace through faith in Him. Help me to live my whole life by grace through faith in Christ Jesus my Lord. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
