in whom we have boldness, access, and confidence through faith in Him.
Ephesians 3:12(HCSB)
What a privilege it is to be a Christian - a part of the Church - a living stone - a member of the Body of Christ. What an honour to be a child of God, be seated in heavenly places in Christ, and clothed in His robes of righteousness. What amazing grace that a sinner such as I can boldly and confidently enter the throne-room of the Most High God. What a glorious responsibility that I can come near the throne of grace and find mercy to help in time of need. What a joy that "because of Christ and our faith in Him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God's presence."
A man can hold a high position in life and have thousands under his command quickly standing to attention whenever he enters the room. But the little child of this same man can run confidently into his arms, chattering about the joys of their day or asking for a kiss on a grazed knee. And so it is with our Heavenly Father. We are intimately connected to Him through faith in Christ, and He loves us with an everlasting love. He is not cold and distant, but ever present, ever loving, delighting in us when we "come boldly and confidently into His presence."
This privileged access into the very presence of the Almighty is for ALL who are the called - all who are Christians - all who are a part of the Church - all who are a living stone being built together into the Temple of God - all who are members of the Body of Christ.
Our situation in life is in His hands, and no matter what life throws at us or what difficulties we face, God will take them all and use everything in the lives of all believers to work together for our eternal good so that it will bring glory to God (when we are fitting into His perfect plan for our lives). Let us live our lives in a manner that is pleasing to Him, for we have the freedom to approach our God in confidence, knowing that He hears and answers all our needs and intercessions through faith in Christ Jesus.
Our times are in His hands, and every day of our life that we have left in this mortal realm can be put to godly use or foolishly frittered away. Let us use our time wisely, for we can come with confident access into the presence of God in prayer and praise, through faith in Christ. And we have freedom of access into the very chamber of the Godhead, for we are in union with Christ and can share sweet fellowship with the Father.
Never let us forget that "through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ we have boldness and confident access to God." Day by day, let us know and apply this glorious truth in our situation in our life, and in the time we have left on this mortal realm.
Loving Father, what a privilege that a sinner such as I can come with boldness and confident access into Your presence, through faith in Jesus. May I redeem the time I have left, to use this access with wisdom. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.
