What Does Titus 3:6 Mean?

whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior,

Titus 3:6(NASB)

Verse of the Day

It is because of God's grace and mercy that sinful man is able to be redeemed by the blood of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, and our sins washed away forever. And it was in the power of the Holy Spirit that we were born from above and placed into the family of God.

When we believed in Christ as Saviour, our sins were forgiven, and we were declared righteous before God, for when we trusted Christ we were immediately given a new spiritual birth, a new spiritual life in Him, by means of the Holy Ghost.

Indeed, a multitude of blessings were showered on us the very hour we first believed. We were immediately baptised into the Body of Christ, which is the Church, and were placed into the family of God. We were given a heavenly inheritance and seated with Christ in heavenly places.

And the amazing thing is that God saved us, not because of the righteous things we have done, but because of His great and tender mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the power of the Holy Spirit, and then generously poured out the riches of the Holy Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ, simply because we trusted Him as our Saviour.

Should this not rejoice our hearts from this day forward and even for evermore?

Let us give thanks to the Lord, our God for His over abundant grace, mercy and love to us. Let us praise Him, honour Him, and with joy in our hearts, acknowledge the wondrous gift of salvation given to all who believe.

My Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank You, Lord, for Your amazing grace that has been poured out on us through the Holy Spirit, to the praise of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the glory of God the Father, forever and ever, AMEN.
