Zechariah 14:1

In a nutshell, the final chapters of Zechariah teach that God's anointed King would be rejected at first, but in the end, will return in power and great glory to save Israel from their enemies, to establish His eternal kingdom on earth, and to rule and reign in righteousness and equity. This truth is in God's Word and cannot be changed.

Zechariah 14:2

In the first ten chapters of his book, we find Zechariah the prophet, exhorting the nation of Israel to repent of their sin and to learn a lesson from the mistakes of their forefathers. Along with the prophet Haggai, Zechariah exhorted the people to get to work on rebuilding the temple of God which had remained in ruins, despite the edict of Cyrus many years earlier, and a further decree from Darius who succeeded him.

Zechariah 14:3

There are many biblical signs pointing to the end times, but there are no biblical prophecies that have to be fulfilled before the Rapture of the Church, when Christ comes to escort His Bride into heaven, but we are not left uninformed! Zechariah 14:4

God had a particular plan for Israel from the beginning, and a specific purpose for the Church - whom He chose before the foundation of the world. Both are God's people, both are holy unto the Lord, and although Israel and the Church are distinct from each other, their roles are complementary, in God's perfect plan of redemption.

Zechariah 14:9

The fool has said in his heart that there is no God, and the scoffer has mocked the promise of His return, but the day is coming when the Lord Jesus Christ will return as King of kings and Lord of lords. In that day, and the earth will be filled with His glory, as the waters cover the sea, and He will reign over all the earth.

Zechariah 14:16

Zechariah was a prophet of God who gave much insight into the first coming of the Messiah of Israel. He also recorded many prophesies that will happen during the 'time of Jacob's Trouble' when terrible tribulation will come upon the whole earth, but he also writes of the future reign on Christ on earth, when Jesus sets up His Millennial rule as King of kings and Lord of lords.
